If you had read my previous article on “Forum Posting for Pennies“, you probably will have a pretty good idea where I’m going with this.

If you want to make more money, than pennies creating online content on forums, then Blogging may be an option for you. Instead of creating content for other people, you can create your own blog and create content for yourself own blog. With your own blog, you can have many different ways to generate your revenue stream, including having ads on your blog, affiliate links, or selling links. Depending on your blog and your preference, it’s really up to you.

You make more money and you have more flexibility. So what’s the catch? Well, the truth of the matter is that most of the time people don’t make more money, because most people that blogs usually ends up failing. There is more risk in making your own blog than to do work for other people, and know for sure you will be paid for your work. In fact, you can even lose money, consider there is usually some sort of start-up cost for most blogs out there. Some of these start-up cost include registering domains, hosting, or advertising.
On top of this making your own blog requires more knowledge, both on the topic of your blog and web publishing in general. Because your success depends on the success of your blog, you’ll need to not only write the content for your blog, but drive traffic to your site which can be the most difficult part in the whole scheme of things.

Blogging is not for everyone, especially if you are doing it for only the sole purpose of generating income. People who find success with blogging are they people who are actually passionate about the topic of their blogs and enjoy doing it as a hobby, not just a business. Even still, some of these may not succeed due to lack of knowledge, time and many other possible factors. However, if you are interested in blogging and think it could be right for you, I say give it a try! The start-up cost in general is very low, and the experience itself, may be worth it even if you mange to bring in a fortune with it in the end. However, for those rather just get paid per job you can stick to forum posting or become an article writer if you have the skills for it.
